Promise Robotics has signed a multiyear agreement with D.R. Horton, the largest U.S. homebuilder by volume. D.R. Horton will use Promise's Factory as a Service robotic production to build components for more than 1,250 homes.
CEO Ramtin Attar says homebuilding has never had the production infrastructure to scale like modern manufacturing, and physical AI can add capacity inside and across markets.
Why it matters: construction is one of the least automated big industries. A deal with the biggest builder in the country is a meaningful test of whether robot factories can help ease housing supply.
