Agility Robotics is working with battery company Nyobolt on a fast recharge system for Digit 5. The companies say it lets the humanoid deliver more than 20 hours of productive work in a 24 hour day, more than two full shifts.
Agility chief business officer Daniel Diez said uptime is the business case for customers, and that faster charging directly improves the economics of a robot fleet.
Why it matters: battery life is one of the quiet limits on humanoids. Short charging breaks may matter more to buyers than any single demo trick.
