AGCO, the company behind Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra farm equipment, has signed a commercial agreement with Agility Robotics to deploy the Digit humanoid at its plant in Hesston, Kansas. The pilot is expected to start in 2027.
AGCO frames the robots as teammates that take on repetitive, strenuous or hazardous tasks inside human centered workflows, rather than replacements for its line workers.
Why it matters: Agility is moving toward a public listing and just launched Digit 5. A named agricultural manufacturer adds another real customer to a humanoid market still heavy on demos.
