Unitree has revealed the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian, a version of its full size H2 humanoid pitched for security, personal protection and rescue. The launch video shows martial arts strikes, a jump from a high platform and the robot lifting a car off a trapped dummy.
Unitree is claiming about eight hours of battery life, but it has not said how much of the demo was autonomous, teleoperated or scripted, and there is no price or ship date yet.
Why it matters: Chinese makers keep using spectacle to sell humanoids. A bodyguard robot faces steep certification hurdles before it could ever protect a person, so expect industrial and patrol use long before anything personal.
